I bought a 2oz package of this back in Novemer when I ordered another travel mug. This is a green oolong with flavors of strawberry. The strawberry flavor just adds a bit of sweetness to the cup. With this cup I got quite a bit of bitterness as I sometimes do from green oolongs. I am not sure what I think of this one. I may try this iced tonight.

Thanks to Tea Junkie for this sample. I dislike sweet tasting teas. I’ve always preferred dry/slightly bitter/vegetal/earthy/dark tasting teas. This is quite possibly the sweetest tasting straight tea I’ve ever had… and I couldn’t stop drinking it. When I reached the end of my sample (the same day I received the sample) I shed a wee tear; it was like being told there is no Santa! I’m quite convinced I’ll never drink a tea this sweet this good ever again, and I’m ok with that, it was a good experience for me, and I’ll cherish the memory, but it’s time to go back…

It is a good tea, but I myself don’t really do flavored teas. I drink straight pure teas. Straight green, straight white, straight oolong, straight black, straight pu-erh. Lol you get the picture. This was actually my girlfriends choice. It’s not bad, but I would rather drink this iced. Much better

I’m finding the holidays pretty challenging this year for a lot of reasons. I’m looking forward to it all being over and stuff getting back to something resembling normal (whatever that is.)

This isn’t the best cup of Six Summits I’ve had, but it’s soothing on a rough day, and it’s the last of my sweetie’s stash.

What are the main flavors in this tea? I’ve always been curious about this one!

Anlina

This has Teavana’s Monkey Picked Oolong as the base, with notes of floral, vegetal tang, a wee bit earthy and some creaminess. The raspberry flavouring is mostly aromatic and is really well balanced with the oolong base – present but not over powering the base at all.

I picked it up on a lark at last year’s heavenly sale because it was 75% off and I’m so glad that I did. It’s currently 50% off on their site right now.

Interesting. Might have to try that one!

I really enjoyed this, though it isn’t particularly nuanced. I love oolong, and I love berries, so this was an obvious choice for me. I most appreciated that it didn’t seem too over-flavored, as many of Teavana’s teas tend to be, so the tea was the main event still. This is rare with Teavana stuff!

This review is for the version without the raspberries. I really adore this tea, the aroma after steeping it and from the first sip to its last. These are small leaves rolled up, slightly dark green in color that is very vegetal to the taste. The beautiful thing about oolongs such as these, is that they don’t turn bitter if you happen to forget them for more than the recommended time. It is a medium body tea that I happen to enjoy after a heavy meal or just by simply hanging out in the yard early in the morning on a beautiful weather. Sugar not needed, does not leave a dry after taste at all.

I picked this up at the 75% off Teavana sale. At this price I thought this was a steal for a “pure” flavored oolong (not diluted with fruit) so I had to try.

I noticed a lot of these reviews are older. There have been 3 versions of this tea, first without berries, than with, and then without again. This version is just oolong with raspberry artificial flavoring. If you don’t mind the artificial flavor, I recommend this tea.

Dry: Smells fresh of tea and raspberry. Pure dark green oolong, no fruit.

Hot there isn’t much of the raspberry flavor, just a hint at times. I’m new to oolongs, so I can’t compare, but I’ve steeped this several times at the recommended time/temp and have yet to have it come out bitter. I get 3 steepings from this, so a lot of value, and each steeping has its own complexity. The leaves are dark green and very pretty as they unfurl.

I’ve blended this with the Wild Orange Wulong Tea and will probably be one of my go-to oolong blends. Bright and refreshing without being too tart. I do slightly sweeten this with a half tsp of rock sugar. Yum.

One of my all-time favorite oolongs. The raspberry fragrance comes through subtly in both the unsteeped leaves and the finished tea, but the raspberry notes so complement the orchid aroma and light oolong taste that I don’t categorize it as a “fruity” tea. This is a refreshing oolong that I’ve re-steeped three times with good results. Perfect for any time of year. If you enjoy oolongs, definitely add this to your bucket list.

Supposedly there is berry flavor in this. I can barely taste it – it’s more of a faint aftertaste than any mingling with the oolong flavor, and I can only detect it if I’m really concentrating.

It’s not bad. I actually really like this – it’s a nice strong oolong. I’m actually okay without a strong berry flavor because I’m not sure I would have liked it that way.

I picked this up on the recommendation of a friend who works at Teavana when I told her I was looking for an oolong. The associate mentioned that they grow the tea plants next to raspberry plants to infuse with the aroma while it is growing. The ingredients listed on the Teavana website are oolong tea and artificial flavoring. When you open the bag, there is a definite raspberry scent, but it’s not sickly artificial like Adagio’s Raspberry Green (eugh). I thought we were off to a good start.

I made it iced, so I used five heaping teaspoons of tea for 500ml water.

It’s an all right oolong. The “raspberry and strawberry notes” don’t come through at all.

At $18/2 ounces, the less-than-extraordinary flavor, and having to load up the Breville with so many leaves to prevent it from being too weak… I don’t think I’ll buy this one again.
