I honestly would not even brew this tea if it was given to me as a gift.

So I’m usually not a fan of flavored teas, and unfortunately, it holds true in regards to this one as well. It is slightly overwhelming in terms of taste, and while it was very smooth, I did not enjoy the after-taste. I also got a lot more of the chocolate than I did the caramel, which I thought was more present in the after-taste.

If you like flavored teas, this is a wonderfully drinkable tea to try. I saw the review that said it tasted artificial— we don’t find it offensively so, and after all, it’s CARAMEL and CHOCOLATE… in TEA. Some of that flavor is going to be “added in”… It’s quite lovely and very drinkable at a wide range of temperatures. It’s a great sociable, “share with your friends who aren’t sure they like tea” beverages… Super tea snobs may want to skip this one— but we love it. It never gets bitter, no matter how long you steep it, so it’s a great one to leave in the pot and keep adding more hot water to… We love it with shortbread cookies and vanilla cupcakes.

Ehh, the name makes it sound a lot better than it really is. It tastes like artificial chocolate flavouring, carob, cinnamon, and apple. A little bit acidic/fruity (hibiscus?) No caramel? No cream? What kind of caramel truffle isn’t creamy? There is a bit of earthiness from the carob and beet root (which also turns it bright pink!). There is also some soapy coconut, but just makes this blend too sweet without really adding anything.

I got 50g of this tea free, so I really can’t complain, but I didn’t enjoy it. Only two cups left until it’s gone, though. I don’t think this blend is good enough to buy more of.
