Subtle perfume of jasmine. I found this to be kind of delicate and vegetal without a pronounced mouthfeel. The dry pearls have a strong, grassy/vegetal aroma with a background aroma that- crazy as it sounds- almost reminded me of coffee or cocoa. I didn’t expect that. I’ll have to read other reviews to see if I’m the only one with this impression.

In comparison, when I take in the aroma of Teavana’s jasmine pearls, I don’t get that background aroma at all, and get a sharper aroma that is both “green” and jasminy. The jasmine scent is of a different quality as well- as if a different type of jasmine were used or maybe a different scenting method.

Both teas are fine- I enjoy them greatly. It was important for me to try Teavivre;s after trying Teavana’s because I felt I might get a more authentic jasmine dragon pearl. When I think of Teavana I think of cloyingly sweet teas, and I wondered if they might make the jasmine scent stronger in keeping with this reputation. I would definitely say Teavana’s jasmine scent is stronger than Teavivre’s jasmine.

Which do I like most? I’d drink either, but I like Teavivre’s subtle flavor and aroma better, I think.

I am thoroughly impressed with all of these samples!

This one’s my favorite so far. The pearls are so exciting to watch unravel! The smell is very strong and perfumy, but the actual tea is light and not heavily flavored like a lot of Jasmines are. Very nice!

The best tea I’ve had all week. I want to drink this every day. Jasmine teas have never worked for me before. They all made me think of cheap shampoo. But this one is lovely. It feels elegant, refined, transporting me to a fine Chinese tea house. Nice, warm base, and just the right amount of jasmine.

I love every single jasmine tea they make but one, and I plan to order it as soon as I sip down a few more teas. It is so soothing and focusing, I feel so eceful when I drink it.

You’re so right! Soothing focusing peaceful feeling—perfect description. This tea gave me a few moments of feeling centered during such an odd week.

You inspired me to have a pot, and it was a sip down!

Excellent! My good tea karma for the day! Hope you enjoyed it!

Teavivre keeps forcing me to re-evaluate my prejudices about my least favorite teas. I’m not a flowery tea fan and, of all the flowery teas, the one that I disliked the most was any with the word “jasmine” remotely connected. However, I am shocked to discover that I like this particular jasmine tea…a lot!

This full-flavored green tea does have a strong jasmine taste. But, there is a wonderful inherent sweetness to the flavor that simultaneously permeates my throat and nostrils with each sip.

After brewing this tea for only two minutes at 175 degrees, I was surprised by the robust flavor that was produced. The total experience is without bitterness of any sort. It’s just a long delightful sweet ride.

Teavivre is also compelling me to change my green tea philosophy. I once believed that green teas were usually weak in taste. This green tea registers just as high on the flavor meter as some of my favorite black teas.

This one is on my order list, too. Hey, I need to make more in my little glass pot that I don’t own yet than just flower teas! :). These pearls are adorable as they unfurl!

Stoo

Great idea! I hope that is more incentive for you to bite the bullet and purchase the glass pot! Go ahead! You deserve it! :-)

Water: I boiled 8oz water on the stove, then let cool for 4-5 minutes.

Leaves: Small tightly rolled circles

Steep: 1 minutes the first steep. 2 minutes the 2nd steep

Aroma: I love the scent of this tea powerful yet very pleasant jasmine aroma

Color: very pale almost clear

Taste: I deiced to give this tea a try at 4am I was still awake & wanted to try something new, so I thought why not make a cup or two of tea. As it brewed I enjoyed watching the tea circle unravel, this is my first pearl tea! When drinking it had a very light taste with the scent of jasmine the two combined made a nice match.

First off a HUGE THANK YOU to Angel at Teavivre for sending me such generous samples!!!! It makes me very grateful to this community where we can connect with one another across continents and around the globe in pursuit of great tea, and in celebration of it.

That being said I was excited to try all these amazing teas! I didn’t know where to start, but decided this would make a lovely post-dinner treat. It’s been a while since I’ve had this type of tea, and after I took one whiff of these I knew I was in for a treat! First infusion was steeped for just under the 2 minute limit. The result was a harmonious blend that was very floral-forward jasmine on the nose, but then tapered off to a pleasant, lightly-sweet finish. I think I’ll use this as an introduction to jasmine teas for those who are reluctant to try them, or for people who are looking to drink more green tea, as it’s irresistible!!

The next few infusions followed suit, this is a truly amazing tea. Thanks again Teavivre!

This one is a long time coming, I apologize, it has been a busy year!

The dry leaves were beautifully wound balls, very fragrant and sweet smelling. They were a healthy green shade with some white as well.
As they steeped they unfurled nicely. They revealed full leaves and buds with a damp smell, almost like an after rain smell of jasmine.

The first steep was for 1:30. This produced a pale gold liquid with a light fragrance. The tea tasted strong but not overwhelming of jasmine.

The second steep went for 1:40. The leaves unfurled completely producing a slightly darker liquid with a light fragrance. The tea lost some of the strength of the jasmine but I think that it would have been better if I steeped it longer, still good though!

First, I would like to thank Angel at Teavivre for sending a very generous pack of samples for me to review!
Second, I can feel a seasonal flu sneaking up on me, so a large cup of jasmine tea was exactly what I needed. This tea is fabulous. Others have commented on the lack of astringency and I would agree; the cup is so smooth, so delicately flavoured, and the pearls put on an excellent show as they unfurl. The scent of jasmine is very comforting without being like drinking a cup of jasmine perfume. I feel better already.

Sweetened. With honey, Pulls the jasmine out with force, as well as the green tea flavor. Works very well with the honey.

I think, with a little bit of time, this may be up there with the only other green i like (casablanca twist by adagio).

Good Night All.

So.. not real sure why the post acted in such a funny way… just try and ignore it.

Angrboda

I’ve seen that happen once before. The poster said everything looked completely normal on their end until they saw the post afterwards and couldn’t fix it. It’s like the site has the hiccups or something.

I always say I don’t like jasmine but then I drink pearls like this, so nobody can believe me. It isn’t my favorite tea, but it’s nice to have as a sort of wind down for the day.

I’ve only had one other kind, and I can already say that I like this one from Teavivre a lot better. It’s a lot smoother. The green tea base is easy to distinguish, and the floral flavor of jasmine is not artificial tasting or overpowering.

I don’t feel like I just heated up a flower in water and started drinking it. I’m going to steep them again since they didn’t even all unfurl and see how that cup tastes.

TeaBrat

It is better than most jasmine teas i’ve tried…
