Strong fragrance and flavour of lemons, almost like eating a raw lemon, but without the bitterness. Brought to Europe by Spanish explorers in the C17th from Argentina, it now grows in numerous valleys throughout Morocco in glorious sunshine and cultivated in early Summer.Lemon verbena is an herbal tea that is believed to help strengthen the nervous system, act as an antidepressant and an expectorant. It is also thought to relieve spasms of the digestive tract (colon) and help with digestion and ease colic.
