Caramel Popcorn Movie Night

I woke up much too early this morning, but there was nothing for it. I was awake, so I prepped for my day, and brewed up a sample of this for my morning pot of tea.
Overall not my very favorite. The popcorn adds an interesting savory quality, but I found the caramel taste to be a little too weak to hold up to the popcorn. I would have liked a better balance.
But, as I consumed the whole sample in one go, it has sparked a possibly foolish idea. Can I get myself down to 40 teas in the cupboard before Black Friday and all of the dangerous tea sales? I might be able to swing it, and wouldn’t that be just the best thing? I would feel so much freer to try new teas, if I had my cupboard whittled down that far.
So this sipdown starts the beginning of that quest! I think I can!

Thanks again, Angry Tea Room! I knew I would be in love with this blend when I opened the pouch and the scent was lovely. Though I’m not sure you could drink this for movie NIGHT since it is full of caffeine (black tea, roasted yerba mate) but if you have a lazy movie day this is perfect. I used two teaspoons because this is FULL of ingredients other than black tea, roasted yerba mate and rooibos: huge caramel balls, popcorn and corn kernels, barley and sea salt. The taste is delicious. Plenty of sweetness from the caramel. An even balance of flavors between the black tea, the roasted yerba mate with hints of rooibos. I would have loved more of a buttery and salty flavor to represent popcorn, but it ain’t lying with the caramel. The second steep even LOOKS like caramel! The caramel pieces have completely melted in the brew, leaving it a foggy caramel color. The most caramel tea I’ve ever tasted! I think I steeped both steeps perfectly. I will definitely be stocking up on this one!
