From The Brothers Apothecary

Hemp CBD Tea | CBD Black Breakfast Tea

An assertive breakfast blend of black tea originating in Assam, Ceylon and Kenya. Breakfast Buzz is bold with malt & smoke, with a touch of peat.

Our take on the timeless blend, English Breakfast. Assam & Ceylon meet a new flair of smoky butterscotch and citrus from teas that we have paired to balance our hemp flower. Original yet traditional, our CBD Breakfast Tea maintains the familiar, accessible quality of the black blend you know & love.

How to Brew Your Hemp Tea:
1. Bring 8-12oz fresh water to a boil.
2. Pour over bag. Good for 1-3 cups (or a kettle).
3. Steep 3-5 minutes. Increase time as desired.
4. Enhance by adding fats & Apothecary Honey.

What are the benefits of Brother’s Breakfast Tea?
Our CBD Breakfast Tea promotes alertness, and is full of minerals and antioxidants.

The base of the tea is Assam. It is known for its rich and malty flavor. Full of antioxidants, it is frequently used in breakfast teas and traditionally grown in the state of Assam in India. Assam is one of the most popular and palatable teas. It is most often used in an Irish Breakfast Tea because the flavor is maltier and stronger. Assam tea is grown on the lowlands of Assam, unlike Darjeeling tea which is grown in the highlands. Assam tea is generally harvested, in a first flush and a second flush. It is first picked during early spring and the second is harvested later and the more prized tea where it is sweeter and more full bodied. The state of Assam is the largest tea growing region.

Ceylon (also known as Sri Lankan Tea) is tea originating from Sri Lanka (formerly Ceylon). It is known for its bold, full and brisk flavor. It is processed by hand, which gives to its brisk flavor. Ceylon is high in antioxidants.

What does Brother’s Breakfast Tea taste like?
The flavor is stronger and more robust than that of green tea. Depending on the make of the tea, it can lead to being slightly sweet or malty. Adding cream and sugar is the norm for breakfast tea, these give the tea a honey like taste.

Tasting Notes: Full Bodied, Nutty, Warm

When should I drink Brother’s Breakfast Tea?
In Ireland and the UK, Breakfast Tea is enjoyed during breakfast as a substitute for coffee. We recommend either drinking this in the morning or in the afternoon as a pick me up for some afternoon tea. Remember, each bag can be used up to 2-3 times (and be sure to press and massage the bag with a spoon for maximum benefit!)

Afternoon Tea is popular in Ireland and the UK, bake up some traybakes and scones and have a traditional Afternoon Tea Party.
