AJRimmer Advent Day 17

I definitely got blueberry from this, but not sure about “crumble”…there was a hint of cinnamon, but nothing that read butter, pastry or oats for me. I think I may have oversteeped it a bit, as the base tea came across quite astringent.

I taste a fair amount of blueberry, but I don’t really get much crumble. Maybe I taste a tiny bit of some other desserty flavor, but not much. I prefer S&V’s blueberry crumble tea, but this one is decent enough. Maybe I would have preferred a different black tea as the base to bring out more desserty flavors.

Two side notes: 1) The Necessiteas just restocked a bunch of her teas if you were looking to restock from her and were holding off, now is the time. I think she restocked 5-6 ones that had been out and had some others she still had it stock. I think she has been my favorite on sweeter fruit herbal blends so far.

2) Less of a sidenote and more of a random update from me: Just added a desktop standing-sitting desk converter to my work from home setup. It feels so strange working while standing, its like my days working back in the Walgreens as a Pharmacy Tech. I keep want to stand like a flamingo as soon as my feet or legs get tired.

Preparation: Western (no additives)
Tasting Note: I have noticed that I don’t love Necessiteas black tea base, and I am not sure if that is just how I brew it or if it truly is pretty mild. Also, the blueberry in this blend is a little more mild than the pancakes blend. I like oats added to blends because it gives the slightest bit of creaminess and nuttiness. This blend is interesting and good but I think it could be improved.

Yesterday I got my grades and passed everything so I officially passed law school!! Today I woke up and weighed myself and lost about 4 lbs. I am not doing anything in particular – just trying to overall make healthier choices. Then I had a therapy call. Needless to say I was feeling good so I danced and made a cute breakfast and then had to make a tea to go with it. My breakfast was a blueberry cheesecake smoothie bowl and so I grabbed the first blueberry tea I thought of. I then spilled this and made a mess everywhere. I had about 3/4 left in the cup though (you’d think I spilled the whole thing by how flooded my tea counter was) so when I finished I was able to take my breakfast outside and just relax and appreciate the day. Now I’m procrastinating studying again by posting about my breakfast all over Instagram (check it out here: https://www.instagram.com/p/CO3NZHoA4hc/?igshid=1rgop0ebyyb4) and now writing about it (and the tea) here.

The tea is quite nice. A lot of brown sugar and blueberry notes. It’s a little astringent but not overly so and that could be because it’s at an odd Luke warm/cool temperature. Overall it’s nice though and I’m glad I have more to explore.

Thank you everyone!! It feels awesome but they don’t leave us much time to enjoy since the first bar exam is scheduled for the beginning of June. That said, I definitely have been much happier and lighter and dancing much more so I think there may be a correlation haha

noms. Enjoying this one these days – really nice blueberry taste, though i’m not sure about the crumble aspect. I’d like to try this as a latte sometime to see how that goes too.
