From The Tea Experience

This tea was inspired by Paul the owner of Baltzersens Scandanavian themed cafe in Harrogate. His idea for the cafe came from his Norweigian grandparents and the many happy family times spent there and where he also enjoyed the fresh local produce.

He had in mind a tea that would define Fika – the Scandanavian way of embracing the tea/coffee break. But it is much more than a simple drink – Fika is sharing a warming drink, cake or pastries and good conversation, be it at work or socially with friends and family.

Together with Paul we have developed a tea which is a lovely warming tea especially for cooler days or those sharp frosty mornings. Sitting outdoors watching the night sky and watching your cup gently steam, chatting with friends…..

A smooth black tea base with hints of vanilla and caramel, a tasty tea.

A very mild black tea, so mild that I almost thought it was rooibos :P For this reason it’s probably good for the evening. The sweetness of vanilla was spot-on and reminded me of sweet pies. Not sure how it was Scandinavian-inspired but it surely would be nice to have this tea in a warm hut while watching the aurora borealis dance ;)
