Soooo after getting all fired up after the MOST USELESS MEETING ON THE PLANET!!!! I’m having a cup of this. Let me tell you, nothing shows the world you’re an idiot like calling a meeting to discuss something that’s already been decided – because you have options to present… uh. ok? never mind that we asked them to clarify 3 times before the meeting on what the meeting was about. Turns out…they should have just told us they needed us to tell them that we’d already gotten sign off about the thing they’re unclear about. Confused yet? yeah. so were we.

Long story short…1 hour meeting to decide that we’re going to go ahead with what we were already doing. yeah. ok then. thanks for coming out morons.

phew! the irate canuck in me is showing. you wouldn’t like me when i’m angry!!!!HULK SMASH! yeah ok… crazy girl needs to curl up with more tea apparently. and then sleep. seriously, having to stay up for that BS just has me all crazy. bah! gah! grrrrrr

good thing this tea is all minty happy dance in my mouth. also…it tastes SUPER awesome if you let a coke bottle melt in your mouth with the tea. yeah. i did that. :)

I’m right there with ya! I hate pointless meetings! Sounds like you need some tea with lavender ;)

I hear Tulsi is good for stress as well!

Sil you made me laugh …I understand so well your meeting description

Lol. Thanks guys. I was a little crazy wired last night. :)

Interesting how this came in the Amoda box last winter, and is here again this winter. Hm…

It is however minty and refreshing, although there’s only a mild amount of chocolate flavoring for me, I’m still really enjoying it.

Boiling 5 min, 0 sec

You got your Amoda box?!

Ugggg a mint tea – I’d kind of forgotten about the Amoda box – no hope of getting under 300 this week….

I totally didn’t even register the mint. :/

The Amoda box is only 3, Dexter! You can do it! :)

LOL yeah those 3 plus the swap box due to be delivered on Friday, plus the GCTTB that I HOPE is about to arrive…yeah no chance…

Of the three, one I have to pass on right from the start. Yep, I received it this afternoon…

I just got mine TODAY. #pitypartybegins
Are you guys happy you stuck with it? So far, yes. Although if you think of it as $4 a sample, that’s pretty steep, but OTOH, if it inspires you to buy from a vendor you’ve never heard of before, then yay?

I think I’m gonna cancel after next month. Depending on what we get. :)

I think I’m too fussy, too many things I don’t like. I started in December, opened the box, looked in, went ewwwwww, and sent the whole thing to Sil. This month, I opened the box and thought 2 out of 3 not bad. When you look at it, I’ve now paid 24.00 for 2 samples that I’m interested in – that’s really steep. I’m going to give it another month or so – see what happens when we get past the Christmas flavors….

Dexter – ouch!

Yeah, I guess I’ll go month by month for a little longer. Until I feel foolish for paying so much.

That’s the chance you take with these types of subscription programs. It’s fine, just the way it worked out – passed some tea on to a friend – earned some tea Karma – it’s all good, just hoping for a couple of months that I like everything and find a new supplier. I’ll give it a couple more months.

… also very unimpressed that they’re using the same tea twice. I think I may complain about it.

Ok, goodbye to this! I think that is the last of my Amoda teas, which is good because the new box will be out in a week or so! And if I end up with more Amoda teas than I can drink, I should unsub. I might anyway though. It’s really not worth $12 a month. Probably not. But it is great getting something in the mail and I have discovered some good companies, like the Devotea, through them!

I like this tea. I get a little bit of creaminiess and lots of mint. The rooibos is still there – you can’t hide it, but it’s not too woodsy or anything.

Yep. This is a pretty relaxing cup. It’s probably good that I’ve switched to something without caffeine after all the tea I had today (a lot of them were resteeped)

Subscription boxes seem so exciting – glad you enjoyed this :) Nothing better than a relaxing rooibos at the end of a long day.

They are! And they’re a decent gift if your family/friends ever need one that they can surprise you with! (I did that with my mom for Mother’s Day last year)

I like the amoda box from a canada perspective, there’s not much else out there and if you’re starting your tea journey it’s pretty good. Once you’ve figured out what you like, it’s less exciting, especially if you’re on steepster where you already have a billion companies you’re exposed to haha (in my opinion)

So I’ve opened this to try it, because I feel it’s important to try things.

Meh. It’s minty. It’s rooibos-y. It’s going onto my swap shelf.

195 °F / 90 °C 4 min, 0 sec

I now have an entire swap giant-plastic-container since I thought I was buying one and it turns out I bought 4 (giant-plastic-containers that is). Good luck with your swaps!

Thanks. :) I might do a “Take it away!” post in a couple months, once I’ve drunk through my stash a bit more and have settled on my must-haves.

I’m waiting for a tea box to come my way and then I will start swapping seriously.

Swapping is fun, but omg does it over expand the cupboard. I am not a master of sipdowns, so I’ve put all tea acquisitions on hold for a bit. :)

i have a ton of teas that need to find good homes but i haven’t had the energy yet to try and swap/send them away.

Selling seems to be a decent option too – at least I know I’ve gotten sucked into a few tea sales, and I have no issue with them as both parties win. :)

Hmm. You have a point, Cavo.

How interesting. I just discovered that this tea is the same tea that was in one of Amoda’s boxes last year. How incredibly disappointing. I knew the name sounded familiar (and the flavour was fairly standard), but hadn’t put it together until I came to log it… Not impressed at all.

As the tea goes, I’m fairly meh about it… reasonably standard minty rooibos. I don’t recall it being bad, but it also wasn’t anything special.

Boiling 4 min, 0 sec 1 tsp 8 OZ / 236 ML

It’s an odd choice for Amoda. It’s not like it’s difficult to find a winter themed tea!

Well I guess I’ll decide if I keep up with it based on this month’s.
(But then I say that every month and then forget. :( )

I am a bit behind in trying teas due to my head cold … this tisane came in my Amoda box for December. And it is YUM. Yep, it’s rooibos, but, it’s more mint than anything else. And then I taste the creamy white chocolate. After that I taste maybe a tad … just a hint? … of the nutty taste of rooibos. But mostly I get zesty mint. I think that even someone who thinks they don’t like rooibos might enjoy this. It’s quite tasty.

Hmm. Seems like Amoda snuck this back into the box this year, too.

The primary flavor is bright, cooling mint, but there’s a definite nutty, woody note from the rooibos floating in there. The white chocolate is more of a creaminess and a sweetness than chocolate, but overall it makes a pretty decent cup.

Having this due to tummy issues and not wanting caffeine in the evening. It’s definitely minty, and there is a hint of rooibos, but no throat weirdness, but also no chocolate unless you consider the vanilla like flavour like white chocolate.

I’ll probably finish the sample from Amoda, but it isn’t something I’m likely to buy again. I have other similar options here.

Hope you tummy feels better…When I get a stomach or belly ache, I always have straight pu’erh , a mini tuocha most of the time, it’s amazing how good it does…

I enjoyed the heck out of this last night, evokes cooling sweet holiday peppermint bark, but I don’t know that I’d need to stock it ever because the truth is I just love peppermint tea and any decent one can put a smile on my face. That said, I was impressed the white chocolate didn’t make it oily. A good winter treat.

Skip this if you don’t like personal notes.

Y’all, I’m scared. I am going in for a biopsy tomorrow and I am absolutely terrified. For various reasons, I can’t talk to family/friends/SO about it. So mostly I’m just sitting here trying to keep it together. Tea helps.

I can’t have my caffeinated favorites because it’s so late in the day. Instead, I’m pulling out my favorite non-savory herbals. This one, Della’s Lemon Chiffon, Butiki’s Lavender Chamomile, maybe Verdant’s Campfire Blend… This tea goes down so dang smooth. It comes off as a plain ole mint tea at first, but that honey/white chocolate note sneaks in at the end for a little extra oomph. Yum.

Sending vibes for good results and good health.

Wishing you the best of luck for tomorrow. I hope everything goes well

Best of luck, Kaylee. Keep those comfort brews coming.

I’ve had many a biopsy and other such things. I hope yours goes swimmingly, and that all is well and fun, even.

Best of luck, Kaylee.

Thanks for the well wishes, folks. MissB, I don’t know if I’d call it fun, but it wasn’t as terrible as I feared. Or at least not nearly as painful :-) Thanks for the reminder that I’m not alone in this.
