An immensely comforting cup, this is an early stage muscatel tea with smooth and woody flavors that strike a pleasant note! This tea will alleviate your senses right from the moment you set it to steep. Due to low oxidation, the flavors are bright, mellow, and keep you hooked onto the signature Darjeeling experience. The liquor is crisp, clean, edgy at times and feels ample in the mouth. Notes of dried apricots and honeysuckle are discernible. Lifted notes of stewed apricots, hints of malt, and honeysuckle make their presence felt throughout the cup. Magnificent. I love Gopaldhara teas. The 2018 first flush was a favorite of mine, and now so is the second flush. This one drinks like a dark red wine with prominent notes of mature dark grapes, which combines with a woody autumn leaf quality reminiscent of a nice Dian Hong black tea.
