Tea #38 from Another Traveling Tea Box

This is a nice mint tea with a background of vanilla. The addition of the vanilla is really nice, and adds a depth I wasn’t expecting to find. It hits at the end of the sip and reminds me of buttermints — a little creamy and quite smooth. Really yummy blend~!

Editing to add: I just got the coolest mug ever. The Cheshire Cat disappears when I add tea.

Mmm, buttermints. :) And cute mug!

Nicole

Gah! Must have mug. Where did you get it?

Nicole

Yay! Thanks!

BrewTEAlly Sweet

Oh my gawd! I want that mug!

Shadowfall

That mug is pretty awesome. We carried those at my work about a month ago. I probly should’ve grabbed one before they sold out. Lol.

Drank this on the way to work today. It was much more minty then the last time I drank it. This was a great start of the day! The combination of mint, buttercream and black tea is great. The owner of virtuous teas, Eo, informed me that this was a blend made in house.

I love that even though the most prominent flavor is mint I can still taste the other notes (buttercream, vanilla, hearty black tea) underneath.

Camiah

That sounds delicious. And well balanced, which is nice.

Ellyn

I’d share it with you ladies but this was my last cup! Do you know of any mint teas that are balanced without the Mint overpowering?

TeaEqualsBliss

I can think of some that are mixed with another flavor where the mint isn’t too over powering…like Apple Mint from McNulty;s for example or are you thinking straight-up mint and black tea???

Ellyn

I think both would be good. I LOVE mint but don’t always want to feel like I am drinking mint gum!

Tea #13 from Another Traveling Tea Box

This is a really nice vanilla mint tea, it will be great at Christmas time. I liked the addition of vanilla, it gives the tea a little something different than most peppermint/black blends. It should be great for the moments near christmas where I want something sweet, but don’t need to eat another bite.

I think I’ll pull a little bit of this out of the TTB. There is a fairly good size amount so I’ll pass on the rest for everyone to enjoy.

This sounds delicious. I actually checked out their website and they only ship within the US :(.

This seems to be a nice minty black. The tea is well balanced and I’m not getting any bitterness. The mint isn’t super powerful, but it is present. It is a good choice if you are looking for a pleasant no frills black mint.
