From What-Cha

We’re excited to offer a kabuse (two week shaded) sencha unusually produced from zairai (old seed grown tea plants). It has a smooth almost creamy sweet taste with a very gentle umami finish.

Produced from 30+ year old bushes grown from seeds gives the sencha an atypical taste and texture, leaning closer in certain regards to a green oolong than a sencha.

Tasting Notes:
- Smooth, slightly creamy texture
- Smooth sweet taste with a gentle umami finish with grass hints

Harvest: Spring, May 2020

- Heat water to roughly 75°C/167°F
