Honeybush Tea is a delicious, full-bodied, caffeine-free drink, offering a much sweeter but just as satisfying alternative to Rooibos.
Honeybush Tea grows exclusively in the mountains in the Eastern Cape region of South Africa. It takes its name from the sweet honey aroma of the plant. Unlike rooibos, honeybush plants have proven difficult for farmers to grow in tea gardens, as they have unique characteristics that mean they are suited to a very remote, desert-like environment. The vast majority of this rare tea has to be picked from bushes growing wild in mountainous terrain. This severely restricts the amount of honeybush that can be produced each year.
Slightly more full-bodied than Rooibos and with its distinct honey flavour, Honeybush is an increasingly popular caffeine-free drink.
