From Xiaguan Tea Factory

Tea name “JinBang T8653″ means main tea materials are around 5th grade according to blend recipe matured or finally decided in 1986 year and manufactured by XiaGuan tea factory with No.3 during some National tea factories. So the first”JinBang” means “Golden List” which belongs to another series of higher grade. The next “T”means “TieBing铁饼” of iron cake, and next “86” means recipe was decided in that year. The next “5” means tea grade of main tea materials used in this tea. From “GongTing宫廷” of tiniest and high quality young bud to “TeJi特级” of very ting young bud still with high quality to numbered grades from 1st to 9th or 10th of rough and big tea leaves and strong stems. (Some tea factories only have totally 11 grades to 9th, some others not, and some others have no GongTing grade or TeJi grade) . The last “3” means 3rd tea factory belong to CNNP at that time. “1” means KunMing tea factory, and “2” means MengHai tea factory. “4” means NongKen group of LiMing tea factory.

In the beginning, this was the first disc cake made by XiaGuan tea factory which concentrated in manufacture of Tuo cha according to order from CNNP. In 1986 year, CNNP received order from a Japanese company and turned that order to XiaGuan tea factory to make this tea around 30t totally. That tea wrapper has traditional Chinese characters printed and in the name of CNNP. But when these tea arrived in ShenZhen already to export, customer from Japan cancelled this order. Then these tea stayed there till the middle of 90’s and all purchased by another business man from Hong Kong called Mr.Huang. Mr. Huang started to sell this tea both in Hong Kong and ShenZhen, and from that time, this tea was recognized by many consumers and got good reputation.
