From Yunnan Sourcing

This lovely high mountain green tea from Wu Liang mountain of Simao is Certified Organic (JN Organic Certification)! "Mao Feng" is a high grade of Yunnan Large Leaf varietal green tea that is picked when just a few days old. Mao Feng is picked as one leaf and one bud and is covered in downy hairs. The taste is more mild than the "Zhen Mei" with more floral and fruit notes. The after-taste and feeling is protracted and pleasant!

We recommend brewing with 85-90C water with short infusion times (10s, 15s, 20s, 30s).

Spring 2015 harvest!

Sipdown!

I’ve had this a few times after receiving a sample from Ubacat and I have to say that while it’s a decent green tea with nice fluffy leaves, it’s nothing too special. Nutty, buttery, pale liquor. A pretty normal green tea.

This is a very mild & smooth (non astringent) tea. There’s a bit of nutty/buttery . From YS notes, they say this tea has fruity and floral notes which I am not getting. That might be because I brewed Western style. I will try gong fu next time to see if there’s a difference but it’s still a nice cup of tea the way it is.
