Haiwan tea factory has done it again! They have taken the old and tired mini tuo and re-invented it! These mini square bricks are 4.5-5 grams each and are lightly compressed. You can steep for just a short time and they will literally melt apart in your gaiwan or teapot. 2011 fermented tea was used to produce these single serving mini bricks! You won’t taste that fishy funky factory smell in these, they are smooth and rich all the way!

Has it’s use with it being mini bricks and cheap.

This tea smells fishy in quantity, but individual mini bricks don’t have a noticeable fish odour. Brewed, it’s somewhat light-tasting, though not quite mild. The taste is slightly thinner and more tannic than is usual for shou – more like a standard black tea – but the earthy, fungal flavours one expects from shou are present as well. It would make a decent ‘daily’ tea, in part because of the convenient format.
