From Zen Tea

Black tea scented with bergamot oil brews up a zesty and lightly fragrant aroma. Perfect portion of bergamot flavour.

Earl Grey tea is one of the most popular teas in the West, and is likely the most popular flavored tea in the world. Earl Grey is black tea scented with bergamot – an oil extracted from a pear-shaped Mediterranean citrus. It brews up a beautiful amber cup with a zesty and lightly fragrant aroma.

Right portion of perfectly balanced bergamot oil has taken our Earl Grey to the ultimate level!

Ingredients: black tea, bergamot oil
Preparation(1 cup): 1 teaspoon, 98C(208F), 4-5 min, milk(cream) & sugar

Thanks for the sample Zen tea!
This was a pretty standard earl, very much overshadowed by their wonderful cream earl grey version. I very much enjoyed it though, as I would probably never turn down any earl!

So I guess this may be cheating but in effort to remove things from my cupboard so when I add my newer teas it does not seem out of control for me(still nothing compared to a lot of ya’ll) I’m finishing of teas I don’t have much left. Only problem is I’m having the worst seasonal allergies I recall ever having leaving me not able to do a fair review on this tea.
I received this as a sample when I ordered 200g of the famous EGC that I still have not sampled, opened or put in my cupboard.

It’s a good light bergamot Earl, I don’t need to add milk which is a good thing because I’m out and I probably don’t need the dairy right now. I know I enjoyed this in the past but don’t recall anything special about it.

NayLynn sent me a variety of Earl Greys to help me on my search for “the one” Earl Grey. Thank you NayLynn!!

This is possibly the most delicately flavored Earl Grey that I’ve tasted… and I mean that in a good way. I used 1.5 tsp of tea and was worried that it would be too strong for an 8oz cup but it turned out nicely. Usually I prefer an Earl Grey with a lot of body but somehow this works and would be a good transition tea for someone who hasn’t tried Earl Grey.

Thank you for the sample, Zen! They probably figured this would be a good one to throw in seeing that I restocked on the ECG and got a bit of their EG lavender to try.

It’s a good EG. Just the right amount of bergamot, but I cheated and added some vanilla extract both times I had this, along with half and half. So it was basically like an EGC. Either way, it’s really good, but obviously as long as there is EGC, I won’t bother getting it. Still, any EGC h8rs, but EG lovers, check it out!
