Cold Brew Sipdown (329)

This is one of the teas from my swap with Evol Ving Ness back in 2017 that is sort of just lingering around. Thank you Evol! It’s been a while since I have seen her on here though so hopefully she see this…and perhaps I shouldn’t take forever to go through swaps

This tea is the same as the blend that I really enjoyed from Tea Desire. I had a lot of that and grew tired of it. Plus, it got sort of bland so I mixed it with things near the end of my stash. It was nice to have just enough for a few cold brew cups to revisit it.

This is not punch-you-in-the-face flavorful but it does have flavor. It is soft, light, and refreshing with a fruity sweetness. I actually get more goji berry than anything else but overall it is like a generic fruit flavor with a goji note at the tail-end. Nice and definitely different from a lot of the other herbal/fruit tisanes out there…except for the Tea Desire version which is the same tea.

Finally a sipdown. This was my first experience with bamboo leaf, and I’m not inclined to try some more blends that use it. The problem with such a light tea is that you get so much in your sample that it isn’t really just a sample any more. My sample was only 15g I think …this did about 15 pots of tea. Anyway, I didn’t want to get rid of it, it is a lovely tea and all. I’m a bit bored with the flavour right now, but I’m sure I’ll be back.

Overall, very fruity with lots of mellow (not acidic) flavours of lemongrass, bamboo leaf, some sort of berry? (it isn’t generic berry flavour, but I can’t pinpoint which distinct berry it is), goji, and tropical fruits (papaya, pineapple, banana).

Flavors: Bamboo, banana, Berry, Dried Fruit, Fruity, Goji, Lemongrass, Pineapple, Sweet, Tropical

Might be great for blending, to brighten up other teas :)

Thank you for the sample Evol Ving Ness

I really enjoyed this one cold brewed. The bamboo is refreshing and there is hints of lemon and strawberry. It probably helped that there was a huge chunk of dried strawberry in the brew!
I will likely HAVE to order this next time…..lol

There is a very unfamiliar undertone to this tea. It’s most likely the bamboo and to be honest I have no idea what bamboo on its own is suppose to taste like. I can’t quite describe it—its not quite earthy or nutty—it definitely stands out, it isn’t unpleasant, but I’m not exactly sure that I enjoy it. This is one of those teas that just continues to mess with my mind because I can’t figure out how I feel about it.

noms. Sample from evol ving ness Contining my journey to try and get to 120 by the end of the weekend – which i will totally include monday since it’s a long weekend :) this one is pretty tasty! lemony, slight hint of vanilla, overall a really calm and soothing cup of tea. If i could have sweetner, i think this would be fantastic with just a splash of honey in it to make some of the flavours pop. there’s an underlying taste here that is a little sour that i love. thanks evol!

Sounds really nice. I think, since I have found a perfect college paper writing help, I can spend some time trying new drinks as well. Thank you for sharing!

This one is super good. I’ve come across it offered by other tea vendors, so all is not lost if we need more.

This is such a lovely mild inoffensive tea. Just right for those moments that you want a hot cup of an uncaffeinated something that doesn’t intrude on your state of mind.
