drank Big Apple by DAVIDsTEA

Bought the perfect match tub of this one and forever nuts. Heaven I tell you!!! Tastes like apple pie, spot on. The toasty and nutty flavour from the nuts and the spice and berries for some tartness, and then the green apple delicate flavour. Definitely going to drink this all.

Grape big let down… Maybe I steeped it too long, or should have cold steeped it like I planned, but sadly had to pour a cup with two tsp of this down the drain tonight so sad. What a waste of money. Gonna try again in a few days. This is why I despise trying new flavours..

Because I’m still just starting out with tea and still getting a feel for what I like I only buy a little bit of each to try them. This is the first tea I’ve actually gone back to get more of. I now have 150 grams squished into a 100g tin and am currently steeping it as we speak with intentions of chilling it for a day or two. This is my favourite treat. When I’m in the mood for some super concentrated and super unhealthy fruit juice I turn to this tea for a healthy fix. Definitely will never stop drinking this

I am not a fan of super weird flavours so when I thought of drinking cumber I was kinda put off. I was just going to buy Pom tango and peaches and cream from the new collection, but I wanted to be able to say I tried them at least. I walked into the store and I decided to smell them all at the display and surprisingly it was my favorite smell wise. Reminds me of a watermelon mint summer salad we make. And I decided to try it first. Made a cold steep of it and I’ve only had one sip but I can say I’ll be stocking up and drinking this allllll summer! You need to try it to understand just how refreshing it is

Not impressed at all. To be quite honest I’m sick of wasting money on David’s tea right about now. At first I was impressed being as I never drank tea but I find that with teas such as this one the flavour doesn’t live up to its name or claims. It tastes nothing like cake! It tasted like plain black tea but a bit sweeter. Not mention I had to add 3tsp of agave. But that’s not the point, the point is this tea like many others from David’s was so weak I had to use 2 heaping tbsp and it was still weak and I feel my money burning in my pocket as I scoop spoonful after spoonful trying to get a decent taste.

2 tsp 7 OZ / 200 ML

drank Pure Chai by DAVIDsTEA
10 tasting notes

I started drinking bagged chai tea that was no name and fell in love. A little bit of milk and sugar. Yummmmm. So of course when i started drinking David’s tea I wanted chai again. I tried this first, assuming pure would mean close to what I’m used to. Boy was I wrong! If you took a bag of those cheap valentines day cinnamon hearts, you know the ones, take those and melt them down. Close to this. Probably spot on. I’ve tried everything! Making it weak, milk, everything. And it’s just put cinnamon, not pure chai.. Disappointed in this one and still can’t find a chai I like from David’s

Smell: amazing. Like someone else mentioned, smells like lemon pie and coconut cream pie combined. Very island or tropical smelling. Has a nice sweetness
Flavour: At first, I must say I wasn’t impressed. It tasted too much like an Asian supper. Not like I want tea. I like tea as dessert (chocolate, sweet, fruit, berries) After a few sips it grew on me and I can say I would buy it again. Very Thai that’s for sure. Loving the lemongrass surprisingly and I find there is a nice balance. No single flavour is overpowering the rest. Kinda sad about the fact it got too strong as it sat but I imagine it would make a refreshing ice tea. Overall, liking it.

I hate mint in general, but I surprisingly didn’t ‘hate’ this tea. I got a bag as a gift and was very skeptical but as I read all of the other flavours, peppercorns, white chocolate, I got excited to see how they would interplay. They didn’t. Mint mint mint mint. That’s all I got from it. And the green oil it leaves everywhere is so off-putting. It stained my brand new bodum and I was not impressed by that. As much as a didn’t like it, I sometimes want just a little half cup of it. It’s taste is almost refreshing it is just so sad that it leaves an unpleasant slimy feel on my tongue.

drank Sleigh Ride by DAVIDsTEA

I have not been drinking tea long, so if you are a tea veteran feel free to ignore me. When I first started drinking teas I wanted them so strong and so flavorful. I didn’t want ‘tea’ at all. But now, I can’t stand strong flavours. I want to taste the tea and have a nice delicate cup of tea I can sip and enjoy while I read or study. This tea was not it. That said, I did like it. Very fun flavour. So close to an apple cider. Tasted nothing like tea though and that is disappointing. I will finish the large bag I bought, but I’d never get more of it that’s for sure.
