I made this tea according to the directions on the package and it was fabulous for work. It was so convenient. It did not need to be sweetened at all, but wasn’t sickly sweet. I got a lot of orange flavour in mine.

I am not sure what happened, but this tea was incredibly bitter last week. I must have overleafed or had less water than I thought. What the heck?

Butiki Teas

Any chance you used boiling water? I’ve noticed that a number of people had instinctively used boiling water since the leaves are so black or sometime forget that it was an oolong and used boiling water.

Also, maybe could be a bitter piece of pecan.

Probably, I was half asleep when I made this tea! I will pay more attention next time!

With a tad bit of brown crystal sugar, the pineapple notes really come to the forefront in this beautiful white tea. the cilantro is just playing quietly in the background which is nice.

I didn’t even realized until I searched this tea to write a note on it that I had tasted it before. Oh well, I enjoyed it, so I don’t mind another taste!
Thanks to Angel at Teavivire for the sample!
Once again, I got nuttiness right away, and I do associate it with chestnut. I like that this straight green has a little sweetness and isn’t too vegetal. If I were to order a straight green, it would likely be this one.

Thanks to Angel at Teavivire for another round of samples!
This tea is delicious, I wasn’t sure what to expect as a red tea, but I quite enjoyed it.
I found floral, sweet, and tiny cocoa notes to be present.
I will try resteeping next time and see how it stands up to that.

Preparation
195 °F / 90 °C 2 min, 0 sec 2 tsp 8 OZ / 236 ML

I am not sure if I brewed this incorrectly, but I found it very vegetal and all I could think of was seaweed. I must have done something wrong, because some of the notes mention sweetness. I found no sweetness in this cup.
I will not rate this at present, because I will try it again later and determine a better opinion of this tea.
I probably oversteeped because these leaves are HUGE!

Preparation
180 °F / 82 °C 1 min, 0 sec 2 tsp 8 OZ / 236 ML

I was kinda hoarding this, but I felt that I needed a good quality oolong yesterday. I didn’t want anything heavily artificially flavoured or anything tangy. I just wanted something subtle and a bit sweet. I knew right away that this tea would fit that bill.

I sipped this down earlier this week but never got the chance to log it. I really enjoyed this flavoured black and I would probably buy this again once my stash dwindles a little more! I really enjoy how “juicy” this one tastes

oh man, I woke up thinking of blueberry jam today, and figured I’d just have this tea. Didn’t get around to it today though…

I got this tea for Mother’s Day. I am spending a sunny day with my beautiful daughter and loving husband. And it’s wonderful!
Not sure what I think about this tea though. I have a tin of it now, so I will try it again sometime and write a proper review.
Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms on here!

My dear friend, it is time for us to part briefly. I will see you again, because I can’t go for too long without you in my life.

Bio

Hello,
I am a nurse. I have numerous hobbies: reading, crocheting, crafting, card making, scrapbooking, photography, shopping, and of course drinking TEA!

I started drinking loose leaf tea in Dec. 2010 when I went into a DavidsTea for the first time and have been hooked ever since! My favourite is probably white tea, but I also love black and oolong. I also like a nice relaxing rooibos or herbal in the evening. On Sundays, I like to treat myself and make a tea latte.

My favourite flavours are nutty, vanilla, chocolate, jasmine, tropical, fruity, earl grey.
My dislikes are lavender, rose, hibiscus, banana, and straight green or overly vegetal teas.

I am admittedly fairly generous in my rating scale. Most of my teas I rate at 90 and above, and would re-stock these teas.
Anything under 90 I probably wouldn’t re-stock unless I found a great price.
