once again, another fantastic tea from the rabbit hole. I love the teas from this company because they are usually ones that you wont find elsewhere. There is a ton of peppermint teas out there, but adding pineapple. genius. The subtle sweetness of the pinapple really sets this apart from a typical peppermint tea.

I usually brew this tea with boiling water, and its great. however today I had my kettle set for oolong (90 degrees C) and didnt realise. I was driving to work drinking it and thought that it tasted even better than usual. the pineapple was much more pronounced and i think i will probably continue to use the lower temperature.

basically, big fan of this tea.

Glad you like it Tina. I’ll have to try it with the lower temperature too. Also, it’s great iced for the warmer weather.

My order from Mariage Freres arrived today. This one smelt the best so i decided to try it first. Its a really nice vanilla tea. It has a really good strong vanilla taste. This is probably the best vanilla flavoured black tea ive had. I found a lot of others to be a a bit weak on the vanilla side. but not this one. very very vanillary. tasty.

The Rabbit Hole really knows how to do a wonderfully flavoured white tea. This is 3/3 that i bought and i love. They have definitely changed my opinion of white tea from “meh, its okay” to “LOVE IT”

This tea is very gentle. very calming, soothing and relaxing. The chamomile is probably the most pronounced flavour in the mix. I think this tea would be perfect at night time to get you all sleepy and ready for bed.

So i have this weird thing with lavender, im really not particularly fond of the smell but i love the taste (I use it in a lot of cooking). So the smell didnt bowl me over with joy. But i really enjoyed the tea. I didnt really find much of a creamy element to it but it was still very enjoyable. I would have never thought that lavender and oolong would be such a good combination. I think it would be a perfect tea for a devonshire tea. Floral and delicate.

We’ll be using this one in our up and coming comparative tasting for the Patisse High Tea on 31st July in case you’re free: http://www.patisse.com.au/page/high_tea.html.

well having rapidly demolished my last pot of tea (white delight) im already onto my next. this is another white tea. firstly its called “Monkey Business” and monkeys are awesome so it get points there for making me imagine a monkey drinking tea. In fact i think if monkeys did drink tea, they would probably be a fan of this one. because it tastes like banana. like actual fresh banana. like the flavour you get of fresh banana bread as opposed to banana lollies. this is something im finding with the rabbit hole teas is nothing tastes like fruit flavour – it tastes like the actual fruit and honestly, this is something quite different to many of the fruit flavoured teas ive tried. many of which may be tasty, but do not usually taste like the actual fresh fruit like this one. Im counting this tea as one of my serves of fruit for the day!

Of course it counts as a serve of fruit and in fact, given you’ve also had White Delight with the raspberries, your fruit intake for the day is on fire. You can afford to celebrate with chocolate and a glass of champagne now!!

Honestly i think id prefer the white delight (which i am drinking now) to chocolate and champagne. well maybe some chocolate to eat along with the tea would be nice. My god its good tea! My fiance thinks i buy far too much tea (i have over a hundred different ones and an entire cupboard devoted to storing them) and gets a little cranky whenever i buy more. but even he is insisting i buy the large sizes of the white delight and the monkey business.

Wow. this is a really nice white tea. I havent actually found many white teas that ive been much of a fan of. of the hundred and something teas in my cupboard i think maybe three are white teas. I think white tea is very hit and miss. and this one is a hit in my opinion. this is probably my favourite white tea ive tried. It tastes like these chocolate covered freeze dried raspberries that i had at a market once upon a time and have never found again. I really wish i had bought the large size of this one. Oh the regret!

My order of The Rabbit Hole tea arrived after what seemed like forever! It actually came really quick and i cannot blame them for my inaccurate perception of the passage of time. but i was so excited about these teas it seemed like much longer. I also got a free tea and a hand written thank you note which i though was really nice. I havent even tried the tea yet (its brewing. be patient) and i already like them.

Dry the tea smells amazing. like freeze dried apples… which is whats in it so that makes sense. while brewing it smells like fresh apples. a really sweet variety like fujis or pink ladies.

and now for the tasting….(drum roll)

holy crap. thats good.

It has a delicious light, fresh oolong and the apple flavour is scrumptious. Its a sweet tea but in a fruity way, not in a sugary way if that makes sense. It sort of has a hint of flavour that reminds me of those apple chew lollies i love. which may slightly contradict the “not-sugary sweet” comment i just made…. but i dont care! try the tea and you will get what i mean.

so excited about trying the eight other teas i got.

So glad they arrived quickly AND, that you love our Toffee Apple as much as we do. Hope you enjoy the others just as much.

of the ones ive tried so far i am liking them just as much!

This is possibly the most tasteless tea ive ever tried. Ive tried brewing it for several different times and with different amounts of tea. I just cant get it to taste like anything but hot water. I like a subtle tea but this doesnt even reach subtle.

Delicious. Not exactly what i would call the most affordable tea by T2, But it definitely is good. This is one of my favourite oolongs by T2 (Oolong berry is my absolute favourite tea from T2). This tea is very light (in terms of the oolong) and has a very subtle creaminess to it. usually i like my creamy teas to be super creamy, but this its delicious even though the creaminess is definitely understated.
