Like a lot of americans, I started from humble beginnings: summers with lipton’s just add water ice tea mix and winters with celestial seasonings.

I grew up in NY the 90s and there were two types of tea- herbal and black. Yous want coffee??

I still keep some celestial in my cabinets amidst the boxes and tins of ecclectic tj maxx finds and my fave indie or non american brands: Ahmads, eastern shore, kusmi, bassilur, rishi, etc…

Day to day, I’m enjoying my favorite fine teas hot, like jade or milky oolong, then I’m making fruity/minty/floral teas as iced tea to fuel my day.

Making mumbai masala chai is one of my hidden talents and party tricks. I live in south carolina now and well… people hear chai they think starbucks, like… b*, plz. So I have made it my mission to change the lives of southern people one real masala chai at a time. I have previously changed their lives using boba tea, taking the drinks to college parties and teaching kids to chew the bubbles, not snort them, etc… you can get boba anywhere now! Yup, life changing experiences happen around tea.
