4 Tasting Notes

Lovely, delicate, vegetal. This was my first silver needle tea, and I use it for my morning tea meditation. Just delightful.

Ordered a sample of this to try, as I am incorporating caffeine-free tea before bed as a way to improve my wind-down heading into sleep. I think this Rooibos from Arbor Teas is probably quite good, the notes are strong and nuanced. I came away from this tasting thinking that this variety is not my cup of tea. I like strong, purist flavors and this tastes like very weak coffee to me.

Such a lovely tea for when in a pensive mood, this is the tea that brought me into the tea fold, being as sensitive to caffeine as I am. Light, bright and delicate.

This is the tea that is going to make me finally take seriously not over-heating water and not over-extracting. I don’t think I would have been a good candidate for loving chai anyway, especially in the summer, but this tea was a struggle to even finish, I disliked it so much. I have a tolerance for most flavors, known as “will eat anything”, and I didn’t care for this. Purchased it from an open bin at Horrocks, so reserving judgements on all chai.
