3 Tasting Notes
See, because everyone posted good reviews on this tea, I decided to try it.
I made it exactly like suggested on this site. It smelled absolutely amazing. But as my lips met the brim of my mug, and the liquid settled onto my taste buds, I honestly didn’t taste what I smelled. It just tasted like a plain black tea. I’m obviously going to try it again and again and maybe make it in different ways, but for now I am really disappointed in this tea.
I most definitely will be purchasing this in the near future. When I went in the store recently, I completely fell in love with the smell of this tea. It has a slight caramel-like scent mixed with a bit of saltyness from the popcorn (and it tastes exactly the same.) But was already buying enough tea as it was.. so after trying it, I fell even more in love with it (which I didn’t know was possible at the time) and have yet to return to the store to purchase it for myself. This tea just makes me want to cozy up next to a fire, read a good novel, and sip away. The mix of sweet and salty is just amazing. And it almost has this smoothness to it when you drink it. It reminds me a lot of mixing caramel popcorn with a white cheddar popcorn. Anyway, I hope you find this description helpful and try it out for yourself!
I absolutely LOOOOOOOOOOVE this tea. It tastes and smells EXACTLY like those little red candy cinnamon hearts people buy on Valentine’s Day. I find that steeping it for 4 minutes is the PERFECT amount of time to get the taste just right; anything longer than that will be MUCH too strong and will NOT taste very pleasant. I don’t even add sugar or milk/cream to it; black is just fine for me! (Although, I’m sure you could!)
I can’t wait to get my hands on this again! :D
