drank Peppermint Rooibos by Rishi Tea
2 tasting notes

Had my first cup of this tea tonight and I thought it was quite good. I’m not sure quite what I expected before I took my first sip but I thought it would be slightly sweet although this was probably just some preconceived notion drawn from some super sweetened artificially flavored peppermint tea I had drank in the past. Anyway, I steeped for 7 minutes and I honestly did not taste the rooibos all that much. I’ve always found rooibos to just taste kind of earthy based on the what I’ve drank in the past. I’m pretty new to the world of tea so my tongue might be off but I just found the flavor to be simply very minty. This didn’t bother me in the least bit cause I like the taste of mint. I actually found it almost cooled my mouth. Anyway, I didn’t find the tea incredible but, whenever I’m in the mood to treat my tongue to a nice minty experience, I’ll brew up a pot of this stuff.

Hey, I’m a junior in high school. I’ve always loved drinking tea when ever I ended up visiting someone who offered it to me but only recently did I start buying tea to enjoy in my own home. Beginning my junior year, I began to receive a lot of work. I started becoming very stressed. I needed something to help me cope with all this stress and I remembered how a great cup of tea would always bring relaxation to me. So I picked up a tea pot at the local teavana store and about 2 oz of some green tea and one botanical blend. I cannot remember exact type of tea but they were very enjoyable. I then one day mentioned that I enjoyed drinking tea to my English teacher and he told me about rishi tea. I decided to order the jasmine pearl green tea from rishi and from that day on I’ve bought most of my tea from rishi haha. I’ve never been disappointed by rishi’s large variety of teas and drinking their tea has brought me to making an account on steepster. I’m always open to trying new teas and if anyone has any suggestions, I’d love to hear them.
