Deifnately Grade A. Has a nice earthy aroma, like a forest after a rain. The liquor is a deep amber color, and the slightly chopped leaves have a dark brown appearance.

I’m on the second steep, and it’s still a mellow but flavorful tea with hints of spice and honey and has plenty of heartiness.

This may be more of a morning/winter tea, but I’m still enjoying it in the heat of a Southern afternoon.

Smelling the bags, I’m getting a noticeable spinach odor. The liquor seemed a little weak, but could just be me. Tasting, however, I get this strange sensation of flavor around the edges of my tongue. It has a great vegetal freshness and seems to rejuvenate my mouth and ease me awake with my bien of Quaker oat maple squares… Yum.

I haven’t really been into green teas, but I could see myself drinking this one. Unfortunately it was the last bag, and I can’t exactly bring myself to go out and buy more

Raiding the office cupboard again and I found this. I think I’m up for a bit of fruitiness before lunch.

I haven’t had a white tea in a while, but this was surprisingly good. Completely overpowering plumb taste. No need for sweetener for sure. I can sense there’s some tea in there, but honestly, it’s like a fancy flavor of kool-aid. Refreshing for sure, but still trying to find that everyday tea.

I guess it’s time to man up, and make an actual purchase of loose tea.

This tea reminds me of Christmas morning. Don’t know how they did it, but they did.

I open the container and take a whiff … CINNAMON BUNS!!!

Yes, cinnamon buns. The smell is of sweet cinnamon sugar. Warm gooey icing and, oh yeah, tea.

Brew it up nicely for my wife and I, and the whole house smells like … CINNAMON BUNS!!!

It was a great dessert tea with flavorful and sweet cinnamon sugar and vanilla. The tea itself, however, was a little weak and disappointing. I would have liked a good bready, malty flavor to round out the cinnamon bun taste, but overall it did the trick for two people with the flu.

Unfortunately this is a limited edition sold by Harry and David, so “When it’s gone, it’s gone”.

OK, so today is a sad day for good tea practices.

Just a disclaimer, I’m a true Southerner and Iced Tea means supersaturated with sugar with a viscosity akin to motor oil.

As far as the preeminent fast food chain’s version of sweet tea goes, it’s spot on. I actually find myself getting it whenever I’m there, whereas I don’t even consider getting tea at any other fast food chain. Maybe it’s marketing, maybe it’s in my head, but it’s pretty good.

It’s not complex, not breathtaking, but a pretty accurate take on the Southern Tradition. Unfortunately, I don’t really appreciate the use of High Fructose Corn Syrup in stead of good ol’ Sucrose, but you can’t really tell.

Now if only I can find a way to get back to drinking good tea…

This is a wholly adequate morning tea, especially given the circumstances.

Woke up this morning with a terrible head cold, but with a deadline at work, I couldn’t exactly call in.

I needed a good tea this morning. One that would give a swift kick in the groin and get me going.

I don’t have many options at work. Found a box of this hiding in our kitchen, filled a mug with tap water, heated it in the microwave (a little concerned about superheating, so I can’t be sure what the temperature was), steeped for 3:30, found some skim milk in the fridge and added a packet of splenda.

Ahh…Just what I needed. A nice, thick, hearty tea with just the right jolt and no bitterness. I can’t believe it didn’t end up tasting like raw sewage. I’m looking forward to seeing what this’ll do when I take the time to brew this properly.

I will definitely be having more of this today.
