Tea dust.
Interesting smell; reminds me of bread somewhat. I like to associate smells with colors, and this smell gives me soft, light-brown vibe (:
The taste is pleasant but not particularly remarkable. Or maybe that’s just me. I think my tastebuds are malfunctioning this morning. I’ll re-assess on a different day I suppose.
There is a lot going on in the aroma and it’s absolutely gorgeous. I can smell cocoa, fruit, flower, and the tea itself. It may be my fault for being a slipshod steeper, or it may be the tea, but the taste just doesn’t live up to the smell. It tastes like black tea with sourish notes and a flowery flavor that makes the addition of milk a bad idea. I don’t really like flowery teas, in general.
It’s not really even leaves. It’s just tea dust. In a canister. I doubled the dosage of tea and it’s still very weak. This is my favorite tea to make chai with. The flavor is only strong when I spam tea dust, but then it becomes bitter. So it’s good for drowning out with spices and milk.
This tea smells absolutely delicious. It has an aroma that is both sweet and rich. It’s a scent that’s very… busy. Much like New York itself, I suppose. The cocoa in this blend really comes through in both smell and taste (though less in the latter).
