Sipped this down as a cold brew today. Unfortunately, cold brewing did not bring out the best in this tea – it was all floral, bordering on soapy, with just a touch of grape on the finish. Drinkable, but I would not make it this way again.

Too bad, this sounds like it would be better iced. Ice wine, iced tea…

I think it would probably be delicious hot brewed and then iced. It’s very sweet and fruity when brewed hot, and would be super refreshing to have those flavours cold.

This has been sitting a while in my cupboard, in a roll top package, so it’s starting to lose a little flavour. It’s still delicious – sweet, grapey, a bit white wine like, but I remember it having more kick.

So close to being a sip down – one teaspoon left and then it’s gone. And then I will have to resist the urge to run out and buy more ice wine tea, because while it’s a favourite and should be a staple in my cupboard, I’m barely ever finding time to drink my favourites these days.

Flavors: Grapes, Sweet, White Wine

Oh my god, I love ice wine tea. The smell of it is intense, explosive. Lots of black tea and fruit. Fruit fruit fruit! And sweetness! The liquor is dark and thick looking, almost like coffee. And the taste matches the look and smell. Bold and full-mouth, sweet with a touch of bitterness, a bit of fermented wine, a lot of fresher fruit flavours and a hint of honey and caramel. It’s not the most complex tea, but it still has a lot of awesome stuff going on.

Ice wine tea was one of my early loves when I was getting into tea, and then I moved cities and I couldn’t find any at my local shops. Then this bag was unexpectedly re-gifted to me, and happiness! I just hope I can get more because I’m almost out, and the company this is from doesn’t have a website and is a bit of a drive for me.
