6 Tasting Notes
It’s a nice, full but mild (not bitter) black tea, that’s easy and pleasant to drink straight. I got two 16 oz mugs from it, and probably could’ve steeped a much weaker third mug from it if I’d tried.
Flavors: Grass, Hay, Leather, Mineral, Roasted Barley, Wet Earth
Absolutely gorgeous (both the look and the taste). Like most of the flowering teas, I have a little two-cup glass pot that I steep and then continue to top off with hot water as I drink it – I get anywhere from 5-8 cups this way, I think and the flowering teas are robust enough to stand up to being re-steeped that much. It takes this one a few minutes to unfurl, but once it does I think it’s one of the prettiest that I’ve tried. A bit of sugar brings out the honey undertones of the the jasmine in it. It’s one of my favorites so far.
