Aprtea.com, first thoughts, shipping.
recently i saw this new company offering samples of their product, for the promise of reviews of the tea. i just received the package, and have yet to try anything, but i wanted to make a post about the incredible packaging that they used for the tea, which was truly incredible. the tea was shipped in standard individual packets, but what struck me was those packets were put into a circular cardboard tube, almost like a mini scroll case. extremely durable, there was absolutely no risk of the tea being crushed. the tube is durable enough that i can stand on it when it is upright and it wouldnt crush. A++, if the tea quality is the same as the packaging, i think i found my new supplier :)
Yep, I agree, Aprtea is off to a good start!
I just got my samples in the mail yesterday. Any thoughts on if it’s ok then to store them as is?
sorry for the late response. the “correct” response is that all teas should be stored in an air tight tin of some sort, with some sort of desiccant to keep it dry, in a cool place. however, i store most of my teas that is not in bulk in their original packaging in a cabinet thats designated specifically to tea, and i keep the types away from eachother, since teas will cross contaminate eachother with their scents and flavors. if the tea is in bulk, or it will take me a while to use it all, i store it in a tin as i said. but to answer your specific question, yes, it should be ok to store the samples as is, as long as you keep them away from strong scented/flavored things like garlic powder, scented teas, ect.
