Verdant Tea - Who would like a Paypal option?
So I had a question up earlier about whether or not Verdant Tea still accepts Paypal. I pulled it in favour of emailing the company instead. Here is David’s answer, posted at his request:
Hey Daniel,
Thanks for writing. I was just about to post the following reply to the thread you started, but you must have taken it down, since the post was gone when I pressed submit:

Hi Daniel,
Our site processes payments with our own shopping cart now. We use 256 bit SSL encryption to keep your data safe, running the cart on a hosted solution so that the credit card data never goes through our servers. We are also TrusteE verified as safe and compliant for privacy. Using this cart gives us more freedom on allowing gift message options, alternate shipping addresses, etc.
We have considered adding an option for payment through Paypal, or potentially Dwolla, which is not in wide use yet, but looks very nice. Is Paypal checkout something that you, and anyone else reading the post would find helpful? We are always trying to make it easier.
For now, if you want to pay with Paypal, you can always send an order through our contact form or to [email protected] and we will be happy to send a Paypal invoice instead of traditional checkout.
I really want paypal because I have considered ordering from you and that is what I use.
I am happy with the current payment setup; I only use Paypal when it’s the only option, and then I’m using my credit card with it anyhow.
I prefer to use paypal, although I don’t allow it to gauge what company I buy from. In other words, if you don’t have paypal, I’ll still shop with you. But, I do prefer paypal, just because it’s easier.
My thoughts too. Sometimes I use Paypal if I’m too lazy to get out my credit card from my purse in the other room. Lol.
OMG – that’s me too! Sometimes I don’t want to go get my credit card, so, paypal becomes the lazy option … and when I’m lazy like that, I don’t usually buy from companies that don’t have paypal… although I will revisit them at a later date.
That is exactly what I do, too! I have built many orders only to discard them and bookmark the site for possible later return because my credit card is all the way upstairs… :)
PayPal would be a great options. Also incidentally I was under the impression that you has a tea of the month club but couldn’t find it on the site. I bet it was staring me in the face and I just didn’t see it. Still would you mind sending a link. I want to check it out.
Thanks,
Rachel :)
Here you go rach (it’s under the Samples tab for sure)

I’m a member and I am so impressed – I will keep renewing for life (if I can!) haha
Thanks DaisyChubb! I’ve checked it out and I am intrigued. I have heard many good things. :)
Thanks for posting this DaisyChubb! I could not for the life of me find it! I think my subscription is sadly up!
I love the option of pay pal because sometimes my credit card isn’t loaded. and then the money comes right out of my bank account.
Ha, so I will finally reply to my own thread and say that my reason for asking was that I do not have a CC and Paypal is my only option for ordering tea!
