Drinking/Buying Tea at Disney World

While I can’t give reviews or opinons of the best places to get tea, I decided to do some researches for options, and here’s what I found. I left off places that only listed general hot or iced tea or nestea. I didn’t find any place that serves matcha… how sad… :-,<

The Grand Floridian Afternoon Tea is offered in the Garden View Lounge from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. with a number of aromatic herbal and exotic teas to appeal to all tastes. This lovely, light filled lounge overlooks the manicured gardens and pool area of the Grand Floridian Resort. It is the perfect spot to spend the afternoon alone or for a Mother/Daughter outing. You can indulge in a centuries old English tradition in one of the most beautiful resorts on Disney property. Most of the offerings are three courses, so be sure to bring your appetite. If you are looking for a unique experience outside of the theme parks, Afternoon Tea is a great choice. Priority Seating is highly recommended for this popular event. Specialty coffees and champagne are also available.

The English section of EPCOT at Disney World has a tea shop with some very pretty teapot, cups, etc. They also have a good selection of Twinnings, including loose tea. (They also have Cadbury’s candy there.)

The Japanese department store has nice teaware, but has, what to me at least, seems like a limited selection of actual teas.

As far as going to drink tea, the Grand Floridian has a nice high tea, but it can be difficult to get in. It’s often booked up with special events.

Those are the places I’ve been to. I just looked over Cofftea’s list and I may try a cuppa at one of the venues in Animal Kingdom. We taking a trip over there today.

And the Noodle Station is closed for renovations. I’m hoping that it doesn’t get renovated out of existance! It had pretty decent food for a theme park, and wasn’t as expensive as some of the other choices.

the Grand Floridian Resort outside of Magic Kindom has a great place to drink tea. I see you have it listed above. I have done that and loved it. I think that is my Fav place to drink tea on the property. I used to go to disney 2 to 3 times a month (lived close).

I can definitely recommend Royal Anandapur Tea Company at Animal Kingdom in Asia. They have a great selection of loose tea, including rooibos and honeybush. My son had a green dragon oolong and I snuck a sip. It was good. I had a tea latte, and it was a little on the sweet side, but good as well. It is not the easiest place to find. It’s basically a foodstand with no seating of it’s own, but there are several other foodstands nearby, and you can find outdoor seating pretty easily. The water they used was really, really hot, and they put the loose tea into those paper filters that you fill yourself, but I’m definitely going back there again.

I’d suggest going there after the walking tour in Asia, since they do not allow you to bring drinks or food on the trail.

And while they don’t have tea, if you’re going to eat dinner at Animal Kingdom, I’d like to recommend Tusker House. They have a wonderful buffet and you can go eat there immediately AFTER the park closes. It’s a great way to relax after a day at Animal Kingdom and avoid the crowds at the exit for the park.
