Toronto Tea Festival 2025

Anybody else at the tea festival in Toronto this weekend?

I wish! Had a blast at last year’s event. Give us a full report! :)

I really wish I’d known about the TTF because I would have definitely driven over to be a part of it! Or is it just for industry insiders? I do hope it was fun and that those who attended can give us a bit of an idea what the experience was like! Will there be another next winter?

The festival is open to the public and is held annually, though I think they may have cancelled it during the pandemic. I live in Toronto but have never gone, partly because I didn’t think there were many unflavoured tea vendors. It seems like that was a mistake. It would be fun to go next year if anyone’s up for it!

Definitely not just industry!

It’s the largest tea festival within Canada, and actually larger than a lot of ones in the US as well – every year there’s a handful of tea bloggers/instagrammers/etc from the US who make the trip out because it’s so large/well attended.

Definitely a split of vendors – but I’d honestly say maybe about 50/50 straight or “traditional” tea vendors and more flavoured blends or tisanes and things. Some of my straight tea vendors I look forward to seeing every year are Soo Cha (Korean Tea) and Cha Gloriette & Haku Tea (Taiwanese Tea), Hokusan Tea (Japanese Tea), and this year Nepal Tea Collective attended. If I didn’t live so close to them, Camellia Sinensis would be more exciting too.

They’ve actually out grown their venue – honestly have for a few years now, if we’re being honest. Both from a capacity for attendees AND vendors perspective. They’ve had to turn down vendors for a few years now because of limited booths. The goal for next year is to find a bigger space.

Thanks Roswell Strange and Leafhopper! I did have fun last weekend at the Chicago tea festival, and I am wondering if Quebec has a tea festival similar to the others. Any idea?

Thanks! I didn’t realize there were so many traditional tea vendors. I’ve been meaning to check out Cha Gloriette and Haku Tea for a while.
