What is Artisan About Artisan Tea
From a conversation we had with a Taiwanese Dong Ding Oolong tea maker. This is an ongoing discussion about what makes a tea ‘Artisan’. It’s part of a larger, and important discussion on big tea vs small tea and what happens to an industry as it gains in popularity.
This article is very specific to Taiwan, and even tea produced on Dong Ding Mountain. It would be great to hear more from people in different tea producing regions around the world.
