Storage Supplier that ships to the Philippines?

Hi, everybody. Newbie here, both to the site, and to tea. As far as experience goes, I’ve only ever had teabags and bubba tea. But a few weeks ago, I decided to take a leap of faith and order a 100g pack of Tukvar’s 2013 Autumn Flush Darjeeling from India. The past three weeks, I’ve been reading up on the various points of tea, specifically, the right container.

Not wanting to necro the storage thread that I saw, I decided to start this thread here. Those all look like great suppliers, but none of them ships to the Philippines. With the leaves on the way, I’m scared for their freshness once I open them. Is there any way I might be able to get my hands on those great tins from the suppliers listed on the old thread (http://steepster.com/discuss/2451-tea-storage)? If not, does anybody know of a supplier that ships to my country?

Your help is greatly appreciated. And thanks for having me! :D

I dont know of a specific supplier but you might try your luck on aliexpress. From China to the Phillipenes shouldnt be a problem. If you have any concerns about unscruplous sellers – dont be too worried! Ive never had a problem and goods are usually very well packed and shipped quickly.
Some of the new sellers wil often offer very good pricing to help establish their reputation. For example, I recently bought a gaiwan with free shipping for $12.00 us. the same one was being sold by other sellers for twice that…you pay shipping. It was a bargain.
Shop around because the deals are there!

I’ve found myself now looking through tea sets. My choices are a yixing set, and two porcelain sets. One with bigger cups, and another with smaller cups.

From my limited understanding, Yixing is good for absorbing flavors, and is best for having only one specific type of tea? Is this right? Would it be good for a beginner?

Also would it be better to have bigger cups, or smaller cups?
