Need to find teas to replace discontinued ones.
I’m looking for recommendations to replace a couple of teas.
Republic of Tea, Caramel Vanilla (black tea). It was a Limited Edition World Market Exclusive, and I would love to find something very similar to replace it with.
Also, one of my first loose leaf teas, was Rooibos Rose Garden from Teavana. I loved that tea, and would love to find a replacement, but I don’t know anything about green rooibos. I’m not sure how much of the flavor of that tea is from the green rooibos, and how much the other ingredients affect the flavor of the tea as well. I basically don’t know why I like that particular tea…lol…I’m not sure which flavors I’m tasting that make me like it. I hope that makes sense.
If anyone has had either of these teas, and have any suggestions on something to replace them with, or if you’ve had the RRG and can shed some light on the flavor profile, and what to look for, it would be greatly appreciated! :)
butiki teas sells a caramel vanilla assam black. never tried their blends but they’re constantly praised on here for being the best flavored teas.
Butiki’s Caramel Vanilla Assam is soooo good. I’m not sure what the Republic of Tea’s was like, so I can’t say how Butiki’s would compare. But I’d definately recommend giving it a try.
You can also try blending something similar on your own with a vanilla tea and a caramel tea that you like, just to see if it would compare.
Shadow, I think I’m going to try it. I looked at their website, and a few of their teas look really good, so I might try to make some room in my tea cabinet and the next time I have some extra money, place an order. The only thing I’m concerned about, are the mentions of raisin notes. I don’t like raisins, so I’m hoping it doesn’t come through very much.
Take a look at Nina’s Je T’Aime as well and see if that sounds like something you’d like. It’s one of my faves.
