First caffeine of the day. The bottomless tin keeps plugging along. This was prepared with my new living room tea station. The water is heated by a one cup coffee maker. I put the press with the tea under drip. I think it will be too hot for green tea so am going to have to work on what I can do. Maybe add the leaf after the water cools? Anyway, it worked great for this black based Earl Grey.

I have a hot shot at work, but most of my travel mugs don’t fit under it. So I have a small tea pot that I drain the water into and then pour into my mug. This works great for when I drink green or white tea, I can let the water cool a bit in the pot before I put it in my mug.
Hubby bought me a spare Hot Shot for Christmas just in case from a local True Value Hardware dealer. I doubt the local store does online commerce, but you might Google True Value and see what you get…
I have to make due for now. I figure around back to school or Christmas they will have them at target. Maybe by then I’ll be able to splurge for a lower end programmable kettle.
Mrmopar – yes I have tried Ahmad cardamom. I have a couple review posts on Steepster. I had the bagged version but I have seen it in loose. I liked it. My rating is my standard for bagged tea that I like that aren’t staples. It is definitely worth trying.

My hot shot died and I have not found another like it. I miss it.
I had to buy mine off of amazon.com. They are not for sale anywhere in Canada.

Have you tried the Ahmad cardamom tea? I have been wanting to find someone that had tried it.

Thanks, we were looking to get some of this! I will check your review of it.
