Wow, I guess other than a recent sample in store I haven’t had this in 3 years. I think that’s because up until recently I’ve been avoiding hibiscus teas like the plague. However, I have been drinking lots of them lately (usually underleafed and always iced) to mix weaker herbals with.
So, I bought 25 grams of this tea to make 1 pitcher of iced tea with. I added about 2tsp of a Raspberry leaf tea I have (which didn’t impact the taste at all) and steeped the tea for about 4.5 min in near boiling water, and cooled it off in the fridge. This is actually my favorite hibiscus tea. I think my tasting note from 3 years ago sums it up:
“the more I drink this tea, the more I love it. Sure, this tea has hibiscus (which I am not fond of) but it’s not overpowering. I find you do get a slight tart taste but immediately afterwards you get the creamy taste of the yogurt pieces. It really does have a sweet-teart-creamy taste of a strawberry rhubarb parfait! This is the best hibiscus tea I’ve had yet (this includes Kanpe (YUCK), Sleigh Ride (YICK), and Gogi Pop (meh)).”
My rating of 75 still sticks to this day, and if you are wary of hibiscus teas, try this one. Just be careful with your steeping time and you are fine ;).

I used to really hate it, but now I’m used to it. Still prefer fruit teas without hibiscus to make iced teas out of, but I will tolerate them as long as I make them properly :)
im not wary of hibiscus, but rather don’t really like the taste
