I was hesitant to purchase this tea because of the warnings on the back of the box… “For adults only,” “Do not drink before operating machinery,” and so on. I was expecting a brew with an overpowering aroma and a bitter taste. Instead, what I got was something very tolerable, and pleasant. The color of the tea was a little darker than that of the regular Sleepytime tea; sort of a yellowish-amber color that deepens into a slight red. The aroma is indeed very fragrant – smelling strongly of mint and chamomile. It is the kind of fragrance that fills all of your senses with cooling and rejuvenation… very comforting and soothing. When you sip the tea you get a sort of tingle on your lips and in your mouth, probably from the spearmint or lemongrass. I find this to be very delightful. I have grown quite accustomed to the taste of this tea and I like it so much that it is now a significant part of every evening in my house. This is a very unique, lovely, tasty tea (even without honey or sugar!) that I will continue to purchase.
