I had a coupon for this so I picked one up from Whole Foods. I thought it would taste like the Tazo Passion tea you get from Starbucks (which I do not like!) but, it doesn’t…at all! I actually can tolerate this one except that it is TOO SWEET! I managed to get about 4 sips from the bottle before I put it back in the fridge for another time. My fiancee tried it and he said it tasted like a bottle of flowers hehe (he’s not a tea drinker to begin with), but he was pretty much right. It is a very floral tea, but not perfumey…. I liked it aside from being too sweet for my tastes.

An idea on how to remedy the too sweet issue… cold matcha! You could even make passion iced tea matcha lemonade. Just add lemon juice and matcha (1tsp matcha for every 6-8oz tisane)- no need to add extra sugar due to the stevia. It’s good (for you) that it doesn’t taste like the one you get instore… but shouldn’t it?

Well it says on the bottle “with the addition of hibiscus and rose hips” so I guess that’s why it is different and tastes better to me =)~

I’m scared to mix matcha with anything other than milk or water LOL

Cofftea

Haha why? I’m just as terrified/mortified to add dairy:)

-Jessica-

Hahaha that’s funny! I love an iced matcha latte! yummmm!

Cofftea

You should take a chance though- flavored water/lemonade is the only way I like cold matcha.

Jessica, turns out both have hibiscus and rosehips- from the discription of the bagged version “One sip of Tazo Passion brings a luscious explosion of flavorful hibiscus, subtle citrus, tart rose hips, and a kiss of mango and passion fruit.”

Weird!!! It doesn’t taste like the one I am served at Starbucks…maybe it’s the Stevia changing up the taste?! Hmmmmm insteresting!

You’re asking the wrong person cuz I think sweeteners do horrible, evil, sinful, immoral, and illegal things to the flavor of innocent tea. Hehe that’s just me though;)

I am a tea enthusiast who is always looking to try a new tea, but my all time favorite is jasmine pearls…or anything with jasmine in it really. I also am a sushi fanatic and simply can’t live without it. Outside of my fanatasy world of all things tea and sushi I am an executive assistant, mother of 2 and personal taxi/maid and chef service for my little family.

But back to the tea!

I love Jasmine Pearls, just about any White Tea and then we have Pu-erh coming in last as my top three.

However, I still enjoy a good Earl Grey tea, the more bergamot the better! I have a fond place in my heart for Matcha, especially iced Matcha Lattes. Flavored green teas are always fun, but I tend to stay away from the overly grassy tasting ones… they always remind me of a wheatgrass shot!

It takes a special black tea to really win me over, for me I find that they all taste too much alike or tend to be too bitter at times; I think I am more so bored with them.

Oolongs are fairly new to me and I am finding that these are really good and they will probably end up making it as one of my top contenders!

Pu-erh I have yet to try; I am very curious, but a bit scared to try it… something about being aged in a cave just frightens me a bit, but I would like to try one in the very near future :-) Update – I have tried a few pu-erhs and I can’t get enough of them! While they are definitely an acquired taste they are lovely! This has now taken over rooibos in my top 3 teas of choice!
