I recently received this from Ashley…thanks Ashley! I am always interested in trying teas from TeaGschwendner because I haven’t had many and they are not very easy for me to obtain.
I am looking at these REALLY low reviews and am nervous but many of you know as long as it’s vegetarian…I’ll try anything once…so…here-goes!
The blossoms are kinda freakin’ me out! They look like weird mini aliens or something! LOL
The peach aroma is lovely.
The leaves are plumping up and expanding in size quite a bit! The leaves themselves smell like a cross between an oolong and a flavored green. The color of the tea-liquid is that of a pale brown…similar to some oolongs I have seen. It smells mostly of peach with a bit of floral and even less woodsiness.
It has a very dry type taste. Not really any flavoring is coming thru. It almost tastes a little ‘dated’. I guess if one taste IS coming thru it would be close to an unflavored oolong type taste. It’s awful just doesn’t taste like much. Certainly nothing like what I expected based on the name, company, look, or SCENT of it while infusing.
Whereas this is drinkable it’s not what any company should aim for in any tea. I wouldn’t suggest this to anyone especially if they are new to yellow teas…it would just give them the wrong impression of a YELLOW tea.
