“Gongfu! Lincang is one of the regions in Yunnan that I’ve sampled from before, but am generally a little less familiar with. I believe this is the first sheng I’ve tried from the region that has...” Read full tasting note
A tea with true staying power, this Baiying shan raw puer remains consistent from one brew to the next, with great fragrance and sugary sweetness that lasts in the mouth and throat. Put it down for a few minutes and you’ll still be tasting this one.
This tea uses Baiying shan big tree material (aka “not-that-gushu-but-big-enough-to-have-put-down-some-serious-roots” trees) growing at over 2000 meters, giving it an exceptionally full feeling.
There is some gentle astringency that plays well with the fruit flavours and tartness.
We highly recommend this tea for anyone looking for a standout Lincang tea. While it may not be typical for the region, it represents a good bridge to the other side of the Lancang river.
