From CHA YI Teahouse

Also known as “Milky Oolong”, Jin Xuan is a cultivar popular for its rich, buttery notes and the smooth texture of its liquor. While the top notes present floral springtime aromas, its culinary character is more reminiscent of crème fraîche, melted butter, and granola drizzled with honey. A refreshing yet substantial Taiwanese oolong. Low in caffeine, perfect for a relaxing evening.

2025 sipdown no. 42

This one is definitely milky, bordering on a bit too much (for me). Perhaps it’s the 2024 harvest. It’s a lovely oolong overall and I’ll have to order the 2025 harvest to see the differences.

I regularly got 3-4 steeps, Western style.
