From DAVIDsTEA

Help me, David!

With its refreshing lemon-mint taste, this is one drink that goes down easy. And on the morning after a wild night out, this tea is your new best friend. We started with the powerful one-two punch of energizing yerba maté and guarana seeds (also a popular Brazilian hangover remedy) to help wake you up. Then we added dandelion root, a detoxifying Native American ingredient for upset stomachs. The result? A hangover fix you actually want to drink. Cheers!

Price per 50g: $8.50

Disclaimer- I do not have a hangover. In fact, I don’t know that I’ve ever had a proper hangover. (I’m not broken up about that).
So this can be no review of the benefits in healing a hangover, and will just be on the merits of this alone.
Its a very mild tea, with a slightly herbal/medicinal quality to it. That’s not unpleasant. I actually think this could be good if I had a cold or something like that.
I bet it would help with a hangover, as theres a juicy, hydrating quality to it, and the soothing herb-y-ness.
I don’t think I’ll buy any of this, but it was fun to try.
Sipdown!

Not my cup of tea. Maybe it is because I don’t have a hangover lol I have a little bit left-probably enough for another cup of tea. I don’t drink alcohol much anymore in excess like I used to in my early twenties so it might be awhile until I have a hangover again, but you never know. I will try it then and update my review. I recommended it because it was drinkable-but barely for me.

Cold brew sipdown. Pretty good considering that I normally don’t care for this type of base. Wouldn’t buy more but I have to give them credit that they used some delicious lemongrass here.

I can’t recall whether I picked up a bit of this to try. When it came out, I was told that this is replacing Some Velvet Morning, which I like a lot, in the lineup, so I may have just bought a batch of SVM. Maybe I should try it, but lemongrass and I are not usually happy tea mates.

Fjellrev

Hmm, I don’t think they’re the same. It’s very refreshing but I can also see how this one would be an acquired taste. I like lemongrass but I find he quality of it can make or break a tea.

Kristal

Really enjoyed their feel good collection too! A nice break from candy like teas.

Candy-like teas! DT is getting quite the reputation. :)

I had a horrible hangover today and this just happened to be the tea of the day at David’s. I didn’t think I was going to like it but I got a cup because I was willing to try anything at that point. It really made me feel a lot better! I thought this was going to be too lemony but it was just the right amount. Slightly sweet with no sweetener added. I could have sworn there was fennel in it but it must have been the dandelion coming through. This tea was very soothing to the stomach and I think the mate helped with the headache. Whatever it was, it worked!

Cold Brew Sipdown (122)!

Well, I might not be hungover – but this tea is helping with a nasty migraine I’ve had all morning. The flavour isn’t bad either: I expected this to be much more herbaceous than it’s turned out to be. Instead, it’s pretty sweet and refreshing! Starts off with a strong, juicy red apple note, and finishes with cooling mint and a little bit of a gingery tickle in the throat. It’s not overly complex in flavour but it delivers a surprising one! Were I actually hung over I think I’d really enjoy having this around to sip on…

Evol Ving Ness

This sounds promising. I think I’ll need to pick some up to try.

Fjellrev

Nice, I’ll try it cold brewed then. Hope your migraine will stay away.

I got this as a sample, it isn’t bad but I don’t love it so I don’t think I’ll purchase it. When I smelled it at first I got strong whiffs of dandelion and then it became this almost lemon candy like scent. It tasted like lemon candy too after brewing it and had an addition of mint too, unfortunately together this tasted like toothpaste. It was a nice refreshing tea because of the mint and lemon flavors but I couldn’t get past the taste of toothpaste that overwhelmed any other flavors it had.

Where was this on January 2nd? LOL.

I don’t have a hangover today, but I do have some stomach troubles, so I thought this might be a good idea to try this one. I like it – it’s got kind of a weird taste, but it’s similar to one I get in a lot of mate blends, so that’s okay. It’s a bit sweeter than most, which is a pleasant surprise. I’m not sure if I like this more than The Buzz oe Detox, which are two other similar teas I’d use in this case, but it’s definitely yummy.

Nice to get back onto steepster after a break for the holidays- gotta catch up though!

This tea is also part of the Feel-good collection. I’ve only been drinking minimal amounts of alcohol due to some stomach issues, so I won’t need this for hangovers, but I did have this on one of my days off. Altogether a nice, mixed herbal taste (the majority of this is herbal) with a slight bit of a fruity taste. Very nice. Altogether I enjoyed it, but I’ve been only have 1, MAYBE 2 cups of (usually) green tea in the mornings so I don’t think I’ll stock up on this one (plus my cupboard has exploded due to Christmas, lol).
