From Good Tea Good Day

About this tea
How beautiful it is autumn and winter! But the cold weather easily leads to irritation of the throat and provokes cough. Usage of heater lowers humidity and dries out the throat and the skin.

Traditional chinese health concepts believe that autumn correlates with the lung, which dominates the skin, respiration and body fluid metabolism. Promoting body fluid production and their lubricating effects throughout the body is therefore important in time of autumn.

Pear enters the lung. It clears lung heat, relieves phlegm, promotes the secretion of body fluid and soothes dry skin, chapped lips, dry nose, scratchy throat, cough and constipation.

Osmanthus is also known to nourish the lung and the skin. Moreover, it smells lovely and calms the spirit. In time of dryness and dropping temperature, pamper your throat and skin with some sweet nourishing pear and osmanthus infusion!

Ingredients
Pear, Rock sugar, Osmanthus

Sipdown! (10 | 462)

I was excited to try this one because I love both pear and osmanthus.

I’m not sure how I feel about it though. It’s very sweet because of the pear, and osmanthus has some sweetness to it as well. I think I would like it better if I had used more water, as the flavor of the pear overall is very, very strong.

I do like the combination of the honey-sweet dried pear with the nectar-sweet osmanthus though. I should be on the lookout for osmanthus tisanes, as I really enjoy the flavor of it and it evokes pleasant memories of Japan. :3

Love osmanthus scented tea and pear sounds like an excellent complement to it.
