Okay Hibiscus Lovers…I assume this one is for YOU! Because it certain isn’t for me…well, let’s see…you know what they say about assuming…

I’m typing this as I try it…it’s stereotypically hibiscus. It looks and smells like Hibiscus therefore it’s hibiscus…sigh…

Bottoms Up!

Well, YES…It’s Hibiscus. BUT the currants seem to try to interrupt the hibiscus flavors…somewhat successfully but just short of a complete success.

It’s strange because there is that expected tartiness but then a bitterness and not really in a good way but not terrible either. I can’t get past the Currants and Hibiscus to find the Mango and Blueberry and other ingredients.

Oh well, at least I tried it once, eh!?

I am actually surprised at how much I am enjoying this tisane. It IS tart. It DOES have a lot of hibiscus. But … I am still enjoying it. Maybe I’m just in one of those moods. I don’t know. This is definitely not as bad as I thought it would be.

I like the berry flavors to this, I can taste the blueberry… and even the mango. This is pretty good for a hibiscus tea.

This one started out pretty good. Hibiscus flavor without too much tartness, mixed with blueberries and a touch of currant. Strongly fruity leading me to think my kids might enjoy it sweetened and iced. I came back to the cup every few minutes as I was busy trying to get my kids ready for bed and the flavors changed. The currant flavor became much stronger and overpowered the rest as time passed (and it wasn’t steeping any longer). As the currant flavor takes over, I like it less. I’ll give it another try, but I’m unsure about this one.

Personally, I like Hibiscus herbals! I feel that the juicy flavor hibiscus in a good tisane is a nice break from the more serious notes of other teas. This tea was juicy, fruity and floral – tartness is much lower than other hibiscus blends, maybe it’s the currants, orange and mango flavors that are aiding to that? This blend reminded me of berry/orange fruit leather, and I would give this to a friend who is just getting into drinking hot teas.

The color of this tea was a pleasant rosy pink, and the aroma was more elderberry/orange forward than I expected. The flavor was almost candy-like, even unsweetened, and as it cooled the complexities of the currants shined through. Even iced and sweetened, this tea was very delicious. Of all of the hibiscus teas I’ve drank, this is probably my favorite so far!

one from omgsrsly that i don’t mind. I like hibby, and this one is sort of like a blueberry hibby blend, that isn’t really blueberry like at all. lol. I know, not terribly helpful but it’s an almost muted sort of blend when you factor in how much hibiscus is in it, and that makes it interesting and enjoyable for me in a different sort of way than your typical hibby blend.

OMGsrsly

Did you cold brew or have it hot?

Sil

hot hot hot

OMGsrsly

Huh. I haven’t tried that yet.

Not my favorite tea but I don’t dislike it either. I probably would not buy this tea again. It is a bit tart so I mix it with other teas that might need something. I like to mix it with a wegmans just white tea which added a little something to it to make me like it better.

My oldest tea mixed with my other oldest tea, chamomile. I don’t mind either of these, but prefer them mixed. It is a neat indication that I have come at least a small way in my journey with tea. That I now know that there are unlimited options and that I don’t need a bunch of chamomile! I don’t think I will re-stock either of these, at least until I stop trying so many new teas all the time!
