9722 Tasting Notes
Pulled this one out today after seeing Anne’s post. Figured i might as well give it a try :) most of you know by now that i always want more banana. Funnily enough, with this blend while the banana isn’t as intense as i want it (story of my life) it still works really well. Something about how the base tea and the bananas come together doesn’t leave me really wanting more bananas in this one. I mean, i can always go for MORE bananas, but i don’t NEED it to really enjoy this tea. This one’s a winner in my books :)
Really no reviews? Pulled this one out for a treat and i’m glad i did. It was an enjoyable cup this morning. I found the strawberry flavour to be a little light, but that might just be because it’s hard to shake up the packages for the first cup. Creamy notes were definitely there, and i could taste the small bit of “honey” coming through. Looking forward to drinking this one again and seeing if i can bring out the strawberry a little more. Glad i was able to snag a taster of this one.
mmmmm this is tasty. There’s a little more mint presence than i really want, but that’s more because i’m tired of mint and love ginger :) However, that being said if you add a little sugar to this one, the mint slides away a bit and the ginger comes out in front a little more. It also feels a little more bourbon like. I can also taste the lime in this, but it’s in the background as it should be. Kinda curious as to how this one will work cold brewed.

Pulled this one out this morning – largely because i wanted to try it sooner rather than later. The last time i had this it was frank’s version and i was largely unimpressed, rating it in the realm of 68. THIS version from Anne is so much better. I’m so pleased i picked this one up as a substitute for blueberry cream cheese danish. I think i like the creamcheese danish one a little better since it’s more creamy…but this one is good. i need to add a little sugar next time and see how that changes things. this isn’t bitter, the blueberry comes through nicely and there’s a hint of that custard like taste.
Thanks for reblending this Anne! bumping the rating up :)
It’s august! and that means cupboard updates. Had this one earlier today while weighing things. Looks like my total for end of July is 40 teas, 1250g…however take away the samples and i’m really looking at 8 teas – 185g and 10 puerh – 1065g. that’s fantastic considering i haven’t been drinking as much as usual – but at least i’ve also managed not to buy much too :)
Working on seeing where i’m at with my cupboard now that it’s August. Man time is just FLYING! figured i should try this one out since i have a few more 52 teas to add to my cupboard. Most know i’m not a fan of blergamot…it’s one of my arch nemeses….however i’m always up for trying blerg based blends in the hopes of finding one i love…someday. This is actually pretty good for an EG type blend. The coconut makes this a creamy cup of tea and helps to smooth out that blaring blerg taste that i dislike. If you’re a fan of the blerg…this is light in taste but it’s still for sure there.
Thanks for the share variaTEA! this was a pleasant surprise…though i certainly don’t love it enough to want more…since it’s still a blerg tea lol
Had a sample of this from the order VariaTEA and i placed. Not something i’d pick up myself but something i’d drink if offered if that makes sense. I quite liked the strawberry/lmon flavour of this one, though it wasn’t quite lemonade. the addition of the basil made it a little different that your typical strawberry green tea. It was a nice treat last night with dinner.
