“Assuming this is the tea I got from Indigobloom via MarkB, even though it doesn’t quite match up… Anyhow, it was a pretty decent green oolong. Some creaminess, a bit of floral (but not...” Read full tasting note

Description

Description
Tie Guan Yin is one of China’s top ten teas and is as grand as its name. Oolong tea is partially or semi-fermented displaying qualities of both black and green teas. Oolong teas are beautiful and full bodied with a fragrant flavor and fruity, sweet aroma.

Origin: Fujian Province, China

Appearance
The unique oxidation process of Tie Guan Yin oolong results in a tightly wound, uniform tea that is very dense, sage green in color and with what appears to be a light glazing of frost.

Add’l Notes from the seller:
It comes from a small tea farm who can’t afford the lengthy and expensive process of having their best tea graded in Beijing so they can only sell their best tea at the “A” grade level. This allows us to obtain a very excellent tea at a good price.
