From T2

Description:
Plucked from the heart of the hibiscus flower, this bright tisane is as delicious as it is versatile. The Jamaicans drink hibiscus iced and infused with ginger and rum! In Europe it’s served straight and called ‘Carcade.’ In some parts of Asia hibiscus is enhanced with a squeeze of fresh lime. Tart, sweet and deep red in colour, it’s global appeal is well deserved.

Brew:
1 tsp per 250ml, brew 2-4 mins in water at 100c

Serve:
As is, or divine as an iced tea

Ingredients:
Hibiscus Flowers

Enjoy:
A caffeine free mouth tingling, vibrant brew perfect any time.

I first fell in love with hibiscus tea in Egypt (aka ‘Egyptian Red’) where it was served warm and strong. I never came across it till I ventured into T2 and discovered ‘Just Hibiscus’ which brought back those delicious relaxing memories from the first cup. There was low (zero!) stock at my nearest T2 for a long while, I was distraught! You can have it any time of day: at the moment I’m having it with my breakfast muffins to bring a punchy start to these cold winter days. I am yet to try it cold/ice tea style, but I’m sure it would be fabulous. gushes This is my tea! <3
