“Oh my, yes it WAS. Can’t resist a Big Zhong. Bought 20 grams of this, and cakes are available for $129. We are getting to the point now where aged tea is really more affordable than the high end...” Read full tasting note
This CNNP 7542 raw puer cake was traditionally stored in HK and then acquired by Taiwan-based tea trader. Cake exibits no obvious evidence of mold or anything along those lines, and storage smell is very light. On the second or third infusion, you see perfect darkish amber-brown liquor that is the hallmark of a traditionally stored tea. Brewed tea still shows a little bitterness but is already exhibiting gentle sweetness and a very pleasant and complex taste. – See more at: http://www.teaclassico.com/cnnp-menghai-tea-factory-7542-2003.html?keyword=2003#sthash.FZJQuGn1.dpuf
